Access Condition Adjustments

Service Price Notes
Moves with Stairs +9% per flight Automatically calculated by Krupp's estimating software. Each flight of stairs adds approx. 9% to the total move time. A 3-bedroom home with 2 flights at origin and 1 at destination would add approx. 27% to the job time.
Moves with Elevators +20% to move time Automatically calculated. Elevators add approx. 20% to total move time regardless of floor level. Dedicated freight elevators are faster than shared public elevators.
Long Carry (distance from truck to door) +9% per 100 ft Automatically calculated. Every 100 feet of carry distance beyond normal adds approx. 9% to move time. Common at apartments, condos, and homes with steep or inaccessible driveways.
Steep Driveway See Long Carry & Shuttle Steep driveways that prevent truck access are treated as a long carry or shuttle situation. Notify Krupp at booking. We maintain high-bumper trucks that can handle many driveways.
Shuttle Service $0.07/lb A smaller vehicle used when the main truck cannot safely access the property. Applies when the approach angle would cause the truck to bottom out. Krupp will always flag this at booking if known in advance.
